Biohybrid Systems Laboratory
The University of Tokyo

Our laboratory is dedicated to pioneering new fields of research and industry through the application of micro/nano device technology across a range of disciplines. We welcome researchers from around the globe, each with their own unique backgrounds in areas such as mechanics, electricity, information technology, biology, chemistry, and materials science. Our team is committed to the concept of "manufacturing from scratch," with a focus on micro/nano-level processing, striving daily to make breakthroughs in life sciences, environmental studies, and information communication.

We're a part of two faculties - the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Students from the former come from engineering backgrounds, including mechanics, information technology, and electricity, while students from the latter specialize in fields like physics, chemistry, and life sciences.

Our team doesn't just encompass those from engineering and scientific fields; we're a diverse group with a shared interest in forging new paths by blending a variety of disciplines, including drug discovery, medicine, environmental studies, and more.
